Sebastian Velez coordinates the Film Society screenings. We screen movies every Friday 9:00pm at the Grille.
Any suggestions for films are very welcome, and we will make every effort to locate a particular film with an audience at Kirkland. Film Society patrons can suggest popular movies with just a day's notice if it's a popular movie that we can get from the local video store. Films with limited distribution we order through NetFlix, which takes a couple days.
For suggestions, keep in mind that Sebastian watches all the movies with the Society patrons, so patrons are encouraged to suggest movies involving motorcycles, high-speed chases, good jokes, and sensible dialogue, and directed by Lynch, Scorsese, de Palma, the Cohens, and Tarantino. Foreign films are strongly encouraged. Romantic comedies are strictly forbidden.
Please send your suggestions to Sebastian at svelez@oeb.harvard.edu.
