Hi Kirkland! I’m Ahmed, a new resident tutor, from the land of 10,000 lakes (Minnesota). My family is originally from Somalia but I was born in Kenya. I’m a recent graduate of Harvard Medical School and now a medical resident in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I did my undergraduate studies in Biology at Cornell University (where I met my amazing fiancée, Emma, who is also a Kirkland res tutor!) and read for an MPP at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. At HMS, I served on the admissions committee and developed a passion for the intersections of medicine and public policy. I love memes, banter, the outdoors, hooping, coffee, and community. I’m so hyped to get know you — please don’t hesitate to reach out! We’re here for you always. Cheers to fun times ahead!
