Hi Kirkland! I’m a happy recent graduate of University of St. Andrews in Scotland and a summer newlywed excited to join ‘K’-force with my wonderful husband Philip Gant. At St. Andrews, I read International Relations and Film Studies as part of a joint M.A programme. I’m interested in media and law, so in recent years, I’ve worked at South Korea’s national broadcasting system KBS, a small media and culture content startup, as well as USC’s Media Diversity and Social Change Initiative (MDSCI). This year, I will be continuing to work as a research fellow at Centre for Global Constitutionalism in St. Andrews. In Kirkland, I’ll be helping out with International Experience, Korean and Japanese language tables, and Late Open Houses. Please drop by L-Entryway for a friendly chat, to de-stress or to share in my love of food, fashion, and horseback riding. I can’t wait to get to know you all! Read more about Christine Gant

Hi Kirkland! It's great to be back for my fourth year in Kirkland and third year as a res tutor. Big news! Over the summer, I married the woman of my dreams. Christine and I will be living in L entryway and heading up the International Experience team. I'm excited to keep working with you on fellowships and writing, and to be playing alongside you in IMs. Come share a meal with Christine and me at Kirkland's Korean Table each week as well, or visit our new Japanese language table. I'm a fifth year PhD student in the East Asian Languages and Civilizations/History and East Asian Languages program, focusing on premodern Korea and China. Before coming to Boston, I was a Blakemore-Freeman Fellow (2011-2012) at Sogang University in Seoul, Korea and a Greenberg Yale-China Scholar (2010-2011) at Beijing Language and Culture University and Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Originally a member of Yale's Class of 2009 (Trumbull College), I spent the 2008-2009 year as a Richard U. Light Fellow at Sogang University (a second home to me), returning to New Haven to finish my senior year and graduate in 2010. Despite all my years away, I remain at heart a Southern Californian. So if you find yourself wanting to talk about the ocean or the sun, about history or East Asia or travel or language study or fellowships or sports or taking time off -- or about anything really, I hope that you'll come by L-12, and that you'll come say hello in the dining hall. Hi there Kirklanders! I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Harvard in 2010. Afterward, I spent five years in NYC in investment banking at Barclays Capital and then at an education nonprofit called the Harlem Children's Zone where my focus was on operational strategy and program innovation. I am currently a graduate student at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School in the MPP/MBA program entering my 2nd year. I am excited to join the Kirkland family and advise on career paths, public service, race relations and study abroad experiences. My first love is dance - I've tried countless forms - and also love to chat about food, share funny stories about my seven other siblings, discuss how to we can improve equality of opportunity for all young people, and learn more about cool and interesting people - like you!
