I am a Ph.D. student in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and a tutor in N-entryway along with my partner, Spencer Smith. Before Harvard, I completed a master's degree in economics at the Paris School of Economics and worked at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in Santiago, Chile. I also spent a year managing an experiment about remittances in the migrant communities outside of Washington, D.C. In my spare time, I enjoy travel, classical music, and running. Hi KHouse! Rachel and I are so excited to be joining you in Kirkland this year! You can find us in DeWolfe along with my dog, Cookie. We are both Kirkland House alums dedicated to bringing the Straus Cup back to its rightful home! I’m originally from a very small town (population <100) in Northern Minnesota and graduated from Harvard with a concentration in Engineering Sciences. I currently hold a record for the shortest commute to work - right up the street to the Office of Career Services! Feel free to stop by and chat! Outside of work I'm a board game fanatic and I'm always looking for someone to play against so please ask about my growing game collection. Read more about Edie Johnson
Resident Tutor N-41 Tutor in: Pre-Law, Econ, BGLTQ, Fellowships, Late Open Houses
Hello, Kirkland! I'm a second-year law student and a tutor in N-entryway together with my partner, Kevin Carney. Before I arrived at Harvard, I studied economics at the University of Oxford on a Marshall Scholarship. Prior to that, I worked for the President's Council of Economic Advisers and the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. If you want to talk about economics or politics, come find me! I grew up near the sandy beaches and beautiful waters of Lake Michigan, and I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2011. I'm a Midwesterner through and through, but I love to travel. See you in the dining hall!
